Took ~30 minutes on Friday and removed the front left fender liner and disconnted the turn signal there. I also drilled out all of the fender line pins, and started removing the bolts on the front right.

Next steps:

• [X] Remove all fender liners
• [X] Pull off the fenders
• [X] Install new fenders
• [X] Reattach fender liners in some capacity

Some more notes on my personal log, but I had it down by the time I got to the right side. A few nagging things, even though I'm done:

• 1 nut broke (well, not much to do there)
• [ ] Better secure light wires (zip tie?)
• [ ] Better secure back of front inner liner (zip tie)
• [ ] Try to get the couple screws that didn't tightened all the way on the front
• [ ] Zip tie the front right light, which the tab didn't seem to catch on

bought oil at home depot two weeks ago (jul 6 - 14 day) got an oil filter on amazon but it was the wrong kind. hit return for that (still need to take it back), bought the right filter from rockauto and it should get here this week.

Have the 3-gang rocker from nilight ($46) and 2 pods from them ($13) (also the hitch from them ($51)). Same order, bought 2 hi-lift jack mounts ($60 each, now $70) and a fire extinguisher mount ($22). Total: $215. Added all of that into the table below.

I don't think that the 3-gang rocker that I have is going to work. I'd have to find a place to cut in for it…or a mounting box for it.

This was a pretty huge amount of work actually.

At the very far edge of my mechanical ability, installed a 2.5in lift. This involved lowering both axles enough to slide out the coil springs! On the front, had to disconnect the drive shaft to get the axle low enough. Big DOY moment was realizing that to get the drive shaft to stop spinning, all I had to do was shift into 4H (in place!).

It's a subtle difference, but it really does look more off-road ready.
