Classified Powershift
Really great hubs! Absolutely no problems for three years, since getting Firefly 1169 in 2022. Having a slew of issues in 2025 though.
2025 issues
- Broke a spoke on the Erie Canal ride, I think it broke when I lifted the bike over a fence to scoot to a gas station.
- Stopped shifting in late July.
- iOS app is broken. That said, the Android worked as I was able to update the firmware, and they're on the issue for the iOS app.
- Broke the handle on the through axle.
After it has stopped shifting, I first charged the hub, then I changed the shifter battery to no avail. Next I updated the firmware and re-paired the hub and shifter. I don't think that was ever the issue. In August, I took a look at the alignment and tightened the threaded end cap on the through axle. Still wasn't shifting, though that very well could have been the issue? Then I broke the handle in all of the on-off.

Fixing the handle
I was able to hot glue the handle back together, which appears to be workable! Still ordering the new one, at a 50% crash discount (out of warranty).

Below the specs for the G30 spokes. We use DT Swiss Aerolite spokes.
