We bought an airstream during COVID times (April 2021) and made some amount of progress on restoring it (gutting, etc). I towed it back with a rented truck from Lyman, ME. I got all of the interior panels and old insulation, wiring out. The next step was to lift the shell off and get the frame properly sandblasted, and building the gantry provided enough friction that I never got it done.
Roof cave in
Eventually it went downhill: the roof caved in from excessive snow in 2023. I got Jeff to tow it to the repair shop in Deerfield but they were not much help.
Selling it
Eventually we sold the thing for cheap, via FB marketplace. Had about a million messages about it. Went to a guy who seems like it might actually get the thing fixed. Gave him as many parts as I could, and cleared out the basement big time (all the interior panels, and parts, were in there!).
